Adjuvant

The “adjuvant” in our business refers specifically to Agricultural Adjuvants. It refers to substances or monomers that are added to pesticide formulars (such as herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides) to improve their effectiveness or application properties. Agricultural adjuvants do not possess inherent pesticidal properties, but they improve the effectiveness of pesticides in multiple ways.

Types of adjuvants are generally classified into the following categories:

  • Surfactants
  • Penetrants and Wetting Agents (Spreaders)
  • Emulsifiers
  • Stickers and Extenders, such as PNIEYE® Emulsion
  • Compatibility Agents
  • Buffering Agents

The adjuvant products containing “monoterpenes” and plant extracts can earn USDA-Certified Biobased Product Label.
