1988
Embarking on The Journey
Following their graduation from university, Mrs Hong and Mr Hu dedicated their early careers to mastering the intricacies of industry operations. This formative period was a vital phase of rapid professional development, during which they systematically cultivated their technical expertise, rigorously enforced quality control standards, and honed their operational management capabilities, laying a robust foundation for their future endeavours.
1997
Focus on Pine Chemistry
Recognising the potential of renewable resources, the founders shifted their export strategy to focus exclusively on pine chemicals. This strategic pivot was marked by the launch of the company’s website, foreverest.cn, in 2001 to commence online operations. It was a time of significant consolidation; their growing mastery of global trade mechanics and strategic market investments provided the crucial financial backing and industry insight needed to fuel their upcoming growth.
2004
Early Advantage
During this era, the company’s export operations centred on foundational forest chemicals, including Tung Oil, Pine Tar, and Rosin. Alongside this development, they registered the domain foreverest.net in 2006, which has served as their primary web address ever since. This focused strategy and a reliable supply chain quickly propelled Foreverest to emerge at the forefront of the industry.
2010
Transition to Derivatives
Building on early foundational successes, the strategic focus shifted towards the primary deep processing of turpentine and rosin products. This critical transition from supplying basic extracts to offering value-added derivatives marked a new era of growth. To spearhead this upgraded portfolio and solidify their global operations, Mrs. Hong and Mr. Hu formally incorporated Foreverest Resources (Xiamen) Ltd. in 2010.
2014
High-End Polymers & Monomers
In response to evolving market dynamics and the demand for enhanced product competitiveness, the company further deepened its product portfolio. The strategic focus shifted towards the advanced deep processing of plant monomers, hydrogenated modified resins, and terpene polymer resins to meet the rigorous demands of high-end applications. Culminating years of technological advancement and steady market consolidation, the name “Foreverest®” was formally registered as a trademark.
2017
Launch of PINEYE™
The year 2017 witnessed the strategic launch of the company’s first proprietary product brand, PINEYE™. Centred around the PINEYE™ EC emulsion, this new line introduced bio-based adjuvants tailored for the plant and crop protection sector, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable chemistry. Coinciding with this brand expansion, the company invested in its own office premises and successfully relocated. In step with the global shift towards digitalisation, we also reimagined the Foreverest® visual identity, unveiling a modernised logo to reflect our forward-looking vision.
2022
Join the Carbon Footprint Initiative
Honoured by an invitation from the Rosin Branch of the CNPFIA, the company took part in the deliberations on two pivotal standards: Calculation of the carbon stock in oleoresin (T/CNFPIA 2004-2024) and Carbon footprint assessment guidelines for gum rosin and gum turpentine (T/CNFPIA 4019-2024). This milestone contributed its expertise to the formulation of carbon footprint standards for the forest chemicals sector. It also served to deepen the company’s ties with leading enterprises across the industry. Furthermore, the company successfully acquired the domain foreverest.com in 2024.
Fujian Forestry College
– The History of FJFC
Fujian Forestry College (FJFC) was founded in Nanping city in the year 1958. The early beginnings of the college can be linked to FJAC’s forestry department. The year 2000 saw the establishment of Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University (FJAFU) through the merger of FJFC and FJAC.
