alpha-Terpineol

Alpha-Terpineol 95% is a high-purity terpene alcohol, typically presenting as a colourless transparent liquid with a distinctive lilac and pine aroma. As a versatile chemical, it can be sourced both naturally (e.g., via distillation from tree extracts like pine oil) and synthetically. Industrially, alpha-Terpineol is primarily produced by hydrating alpha-pinene or dehydrating terpin hydrate, with the synthetic process often resulting in isomers such as β-Terpineol and γ-Terpineol.

It is widely used as a key component in fragrances such as lilac and lime. alpha-Terpineol also serves as a raw material for synthesizing other aromatic chemicals.

Terpineol 85

Terpineol is naturally found in pine oil, lavender oil, orange leaf oil, neroli oil and other plant oils. α-terpineol, β-terpineol, γ-terpineol, and terpinen-4-ol are four isomers of terpineol. α-terpineol is the major component.

Terpineol is a viscous liquid with pine like and clove like odor, but is easy to crystallize.

There are two methods for preparing terpineol. The two-step preparation process is to use α-pinene as raw material to produce terpineol through hydration under acidic conditions. The one-step method is to directly prepare terpineol by hydration reaction.

Terpineol is widely used in fragrance formulation, especially in soaps and synthetic detergents.

Terpineol Electric

Terpineol Electric Grade is specially designed as a cleaning agent. It has ultra-low moisture content and special removing flux solder from the printed circuit board surface.

Terpineol Mu

Terpineol MU Grade is a synthetic monoterpene alcohol compound, derived from the hydration of alpha-Pinene or Gum Turpentine. It isn’t a single isomer but a mixture of various terpineol isomers, including alpha-Terpineol, beta-Terpineol, and gamma-Terpineol, with alpha-Terpineol being the major constituent. The latter two isomers differ only by the location of their double bond.

The MU Grade is notably specifically developed for industrial applications and medical formulations. It’s widely employed as an excellent solvent for ethylcellulose, an effective plasticiser for epoxy resins, and a crucial component in fragrance synthetics.

In the medical disinfection field, the alpha-Terpineol within the MU Grade exhibits outstanding germicidal efficacy. It is primarily effective against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans. Research reports confirm that when this MU Grade product is sprayed on human skin, it can achieve an average killing naturally occurring germs on the skin surface. This characteristic makes it an ideal choice for medical disinfection and sterilisation formulations.

Terpineol P

Perfumery Grade Terpineol is colorless liquid with natural lilac odor. It is specially used in fragrance of daily chemical products. It is suitable for floral aromatherapy formulas such as acacia, lily of the valley, lily, orange blossom and lilac.
