Once identity is confirmed, the main checks are 99%+ GC assay and a white crystal appearance: higher purity helps keep trace impurities from showing up as off-notes, while yellowing usually means the material or storage conditions should be reviewed. For procurement, the real focus should be enantiomer, purity and batch consistency.

Ambroxide is better treated as a low-dose base-note modifier rather than a default fragrance choice for pet-care products. Its 99% GC assay helps reduce impurity-related off-notes, which is useful in pet-care formulations where a clean, restrained scent profile is preferred. For dogs in particular, the real issue is exposure level and persistence of scent, because canine olfaction is extremely sensitive and even fragrances that seem mild to humans can become uncomfortable in small spaces, with prolonged exposure or direct coat contact.
