Dehydroabietylamine (Leelamine)
Dehydroabietylamine (Leelamine) is a diterpene compound derived from gum rosin. Through a series of distillation processes, turpentine oil is removed from the residual liquid. The remaining liquid is then filtered at approximately 210°C, cooled, and crystallized to produce the final substance.
Dehydroabietylamine exhibits weak affinity for the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 and acts as an inhibitor of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase. Optically active leelamine is also used as a chiral resolving agent for carboxylic acids.
