1,4桉叶素为单萜物质，伴有樟脑香气，天然存在于荜澄茄，春黄菊中。市售商品一般系由75%的1,4-桉叶素和15%，1，8-桉叶素组成。现中国已可通过脱水工艺从α- 松油醇工业制得。 2-Methylpentanoic acid is mainly used in fragrance and flavor formulation. 3-蒈烯为松节油的主要成分之一，根据相关资料表明，欧洲产赤松其蒈烯含量达40~45%,印度产长叶松其蒈烯含量达37.6%，中国产松节油中蒈烯含量较低。蒈烯外观呈无色或淡黄色液体，伴有浓烈的松木香气。工业上主要作为合成香料的原料使用。
