Lemairamin
Lemairamin (also known as WGX-50 or cinnamoyl homoveratrylamine) is a natural aromatic amide product derived from Zanthoxylum plants. It was first isolated from the peel of Zanthoxylum. It is a white powder and insoluble in water.
In the laboratory, this product can be obtained through a one-step condensation reaction of specific chemical precursors. Concurrently, high-purity samples can also be prepared via alcohol extraction from natural plant parts, followed by chromatographic purification.
Lemairamin is currently a scientific research reagent and is mainly used in pharmacological research on analgesia, Alzheimer’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease and other diseases. In the future, it is expected to be used in cosmeceuticals, nutritional products, pharmaceutical synthesis, plant protection and other applications.
