双戊烯又称消旋柠烯,即(±)-型柠烯,呈淡黄色液体,伴有柠檬香气,不溶于水。是合成香料的一种基础原料,可作为配制人造橙花、甜花、柠檬、香柠檬油的原料,也可作为一种新鲜的头香香料用于化妆、皂用及日用化学品香精,在古龙型、花香中的茉莉型、薰衣草型以及松木、醛香、木香、果香或清香型中均适用。
