Rubber & Tire Industry
Rubber Compounding
The automotive industry extensively utilizes rubber products, including tires and various rubber components such as seals, gaskets, interior parts, etc. Due to the need to withstand high-temperature conditions during driving, synthetic rubbers like nitrile rubber (NBR), fluoroelastomers (FKM), and silicone-based rubber are predominantly used. Various types of rosin resin-modified resins, such as hydrogenated rosin and methyl rosinate, often exhibit good compatibility with synthetic rubbers like NBR, SBR, SSBR, and are employed as tackifiers to enhance rubber performance. The use of rosin modified resins in tire manufacturing is quite common. Recent studies indicate that rosin resin-based composite materials enhance the cut growth resistance and tear strength of tires.
